About this painting:

This is a subject I’ve painted a few times now, and have often struggled with! It wasn’t until I really learned how to model form with colour, and how to handle value ranges that are outside the range of paint, that I could do a reasonable job of it.

I was particularly interested in catching the subtle differences in colour between the two lemons. The one on the right is less ripe, and so more green. Little subtleties of colour like this can be exciting to a painter 🙂
