Orange and shell – Still life Drawing 27/100

September 19, 2006 By: Paulcomment

Still life drawing number twenty-seven - Orange and shell

Charcoal and white conte

This one is attempt at drawing at least one object that has strong local colour, which makes it harder to judge the tone, I think. Three out of ten, must try harder.

I also put the white cloth back for this one. I haven’t quite figured out why, but I find judging tones against the white of the cloth quite hard, so I plan to do more more of it over the next few drawings. I think I may have given myself too many challenges at once to come out with a good drawing for this one.
