Portrait Drawing of Michelle – 12th April 2006

Portrait of Michlle - 14th April 2006

I drew this across the kitchen table from Michelle, while she was working on her laptop. That accountsfor the funny light in her eyes, it’s the reflection of the screen.

What I remember most about this drawing is the amount of stuff I tok out. I kept putting in shadingthen taking it out again, because it kept upsetting the drawing. This was the beginning of a changewhich happened over the next couple of drawings, resulting in me deciding to drop shading altogetherand to concentrate on line for a while.

This one came out quite nice. I’m glad I finally got one of Michelle looking presentable, I usuallyseem to catch her when she’s looking a bit scruffy. Michelle likes this one. I’d say it looks a bit like her.
