Session One will be here on:
Monday 4th October
at
6PM UK time (1PM Eastern, 10AM Pacific, check your time zone here)
What we’ll be doing
In this first session, I’ll be demonstrating how I set up the subject for this workshop.
I’ll be covering:
- How I chose the objects
- The set up, including the lighting (very important!)
- How everything was arranged, even the folds in the cloth, to try to make an interesting and balanced composition
- How I photographed the subject and then edited the image in photoshop, ready for painting
I’ll also be going into how I use the Munsell chips to judge the hues and chromas I need (so a little on the basics of Munsell) and also how to use a value scale in photoshop to ascertain the values.
What you’ll need
You won’t actually need to bring anything this week, since we won’t be painting. You might want to take notes, but the session is recorded so you can always come back to this page any time you want to see it again.
See you soon!
